The Los Angeles Police Department has arrested a suspect in Kenneth’s arson who is believed to have caused Kenneth’s fire. KTLA Los Angeles Police reportedly responded to allegations of a person trying to start a fire in the Woodland Hills area of California on Thursday, January 9.

Details on the Kenneth Fire near Woodland Hills
According to KTLA, the Kenneth Fire started around 2:30 p.m. in dry brush within the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space area, just north of Highway 101. By nine o’clock in the evening, the fire had spread to an area of 1,000 acres, and firefighters were able to contain 35% of it.
according to The hillLos Angeles Police Chief Charles Dines said investigators are treating the incident as a crime. Dennis also said investigators have not determined an individual’s motive for starting the fire, which has already burned 900 miles in the Golden State. Additionally, Dence noted that the fire is a potential “case of arson.”

Authorities are actively investigating the arson but have not shared additional details about the suspect. Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman said Newsnation In an interview, per The Hill, the act could lead to a murder charge, potentially carrying up to life in prison.
“Justice will be swift. He will be firm, and he will seek the maximum punishment.” Hochman said.
Furthermore, Hochman emphasized their commitment to bringing justice to the crime and their determination to send a clear warning through their actions.
“Our goal is to send that warning. Whether it’s looting, online scams, theft or future fires. We want justice and we will do it.” Hochman explained.
