Most often, star wars It’s about redemption. Darth Vader saves Luke. Ben Solo helps Rey. The Mandalorian He gives up his symbol to Grogu. At the bottom of the list, characters who were bad at one point end up being good. Although, so far, at the latest star wars displays, skeleton crew, We’ve seen the opposite. Good na nood Jude Law has gone from rogue would-be hero to sinister villain throughout the series, and now, as we reach the end, we wonder, what will happen next?

Obviously your guess is as good as ours here. We haven’t watched the final episode yet, and we won’t until everyone sees it at 9pm EST next Tuesday, January 14. So don’t worry about spoilers. We’re just wondering if the show will keep the top-billed star as the bad guy or if it’s possible not to.

To quickly recap, the four kids who make up the crew met Judd in prison where he used force to help them escape. He then became their guide and de facto leader as they attempted to return to their ancient home planet. However, it appears that Jude, known to almost every character on the show as a different name, was accompanying him mainly not out of kindness. He wanted to see if the legends were true. If Al-Attain really had a great treasure in it.

So Judd takes the crew across the galaxy, piecing together clues, and gracefully avoiding any specific details about himself. We know he’s Force sensitive. We think he was telling the truth about loss and loneliness. He was definitely a pirate captain before he made some mistakes. But when it became clear that the atin harbored some kind of treasure, the switch went off. The anti-hero immediately becomes the evil, selfish pirate we met in the first scene of the series. and, By the end of the seventh and penultimate episodeHe took things much further, killing former first mate Brutus, and brandishing a lightsaber to threaten children. and Their parents and finally discover the Al-Atain treasure.

In our minds, Skeleton crew He made sure to show Jude fully embracing his pirate side, and his return would almost be a betrayal. At least in this season. He may escape by the end of this season, and in a hypothetical subsequent season, we see him learn the error of his ways. Of course, Anakin Skywalker is back from the “actually killed some kids” side of things – pretty tame of Judd in the grand scheme of things. Sure, he decapitated SM-33, but he’s not going to step on the cute alien mouse that called that head home! If that switch happens now, in this season, it would be a huge disappointment if he immediately goes back to this path he’s been on.

Jude’s arc was one of the real highlights of the show, as it led to an emotionally charged confrontation between him and the four children he pretended to save. Let’s keep it that way. Make the star of your show a bad guy. We don’t care. We love it. if Skeleton crew It hopes to become second best to Disney+ star wars For now, it should clear that up and keep him living on this dark side for a little while longer.

What do you think? Do you agree? Does Jude deserve or deserve salvation? Let us know below.
