Justin Baldoni’s Ex-Agent Attacks Blake Lively’s Behavior as ‘Blackmail’

Before their trial in March 2026, the legal battle between Justin Baldoni and “It Ends With Us” star Blake Lively continues to see accusations from both camps.

The actor’s former agent, Danny Greenberg, was the latest to comment on the issue, calling Lively’s behavior “extortion.”

In the deposit copy he obtained TMZGreenberg stated that her entire behavior and the pressure she brought against Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios felt like “blackmail” to him.

The “Gossip Girl” star did everything she could to try to get justice after she accused Baldoni of sexually harassing her while filming the movie. In addition, she alleged that he launched a smear campaign against her, which the actor denies.

According to the news outlet, Lively’s makeup artist, Vivien Baker, testified in her case that the inappropriate incidents she accused Baldoni of occurred during the first phase of filming, while the actress’s talent manager, Warren Zavala, said he was not aware of any incident that made her uncomfortable during the second phase.

However, Zavala added that there was an issue with an alarm being triggered during the “post process” when they tested a clip of the film.

Baldoni has filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist Leslie Sloan.

He also filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times over an article in which they claimed that he and his public relations team were behind a smear campaign against the actress.

However, Judge Louis J. Lehman dismissed the case in June, noting that Lively’s allegations were made within privileged court documents.

“The Wayfarer Party has not alleged that Lively is liable for any statements other than the statements in her CRD complaint, which are privileged,” Judge Lehman noted in his ruling. People magazine.

He continued: “The Wayfarer Parties alleged that Reynolds and (publicist Leslie) Sloan made additional statements accusing Baldoni of sexual misconduct and that The Times made additional statements accusing the Wayfarer Parties of engaging in a smear campaign.”

Judge Lehman added that Baldoni and his camp “did not claim that Reynolds, Sloan, or the Times would have seriously questioned the veracity of these statements based on the information available to them, as is required to be liable for defamation under applicable law.”

He then ruled that Wayfarer’s “additional claims also fail. Accordingly, the amended complaint must be dismissed in its entirety.”

The New York Times has now filed a lawsuit against Baldoni for costs related to the case that has since been dismissed, with the news outlet claiming it incurred costs of about $150,000.

In a complaint filed Sept. 30 with the New York Supreme Court, the newspaper cited the state’s anti-SLAPP law while noting that the move is “to recover costs, fees and expenses incurred by The Times in defense of the defamation lawsuit brought by Wayfarer and parties associated” with Baldoni’s studio, according to People magazine.

They are seeking “punitive and compensatory damages against plaintiffs who, like Wayfarer, commence or continue meritless legal actions for the purpose of ‘harassing, intimidating, punishing, or maliciously inhibiting the free exercise of expression.’

In a statement obtained by the news outlet, Baldoni’s attorney, Brian Friedman, responded to the lawsuit, saying they “refuse to bow to power brokers even in the face of seemingly impossible odds.”

“We still stand tall for a reason: the pursuit of truth in the face of giants,” he said.
