As an older film fan, it’s a bit surreal to see younger audiences falling in love with old media, like my crime-loving child is headlining things like Good guys. This is, at least, a timeless classic that could easily be made today. Some movies are just as weird and offensive as can be never They are performed today, incl Big problem in little Chinaan ’80s classic now streaming for free on Tubi.

As he tries to track down and rescue the gang, he ends up deeper and deeper into a world of martial artists and magical powers. A stubborn truck driver must eventually confront an evil wizard, but even with the help of some new friends, he may not be able to overcome the dark forces.

Part of what is made Big problem in little China It’s the fact that Kurt Russell’s character is the sidekick who doesn’t realize he’s the sidekick. He’s an 80s action hero who accidentally stumbles into a 70s style kung fu movie.
Its East-meets-West humor is a big part of what makes it so funny. It helps that Russell is very charismatic in the role, acting as a stand-in for the audience reacting to the completely crazy events around him just as we would in his place (although we may not be as good at throwing a knife).
