This is what happened to Alvira Meotti
according to News 5 ClevelandMotti was discovered dead outside the boulevard at the Warrensville Care and Rehabilitation Center around 7:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve. According to Warrensville Heights police, the last time employees were seen at the facility was Meotti at 8:40 p.m. on December 23.
The nurse who last saw Moeti reportedly told police that the 84-year-old woman “appeared normal and was talking while sitting in her wheelchair.”
Later, it was reported that Miotti was allocated a second position. However, around 9:30 p.m., the nurse discovered that the 84-year-old was “not in her room.”
The second nurse reportedly assumed that Moeti had gone to visit her brother. However, the facility’s visitor log showed no records of Mioti’s brother taking her. Furthermore, the second nurse allegedly did not inform her colleagues of the 84-year-old’s absence.

At around 12:30 a.m., the nurse called Moeti’s brother several times. However, he did not answer.
“…She is a new nurse…and was not sure what to do next,” the police report confirms News 5 Cleveland.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., the nurse finally informed a fellow staff member that Miotti was missing. A ‘Code Purple’ was then issued, a sweep was conducted around the building, and the police were notified. Once an officer arrived at 7:30 a.m., nurses discovered Mioti outside the facility “lying on her back.”
According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, the 84-year-old man’s cause of death was listed as “environmental exposure with hypothermia.” Police are reportedly investigating Mioti’s death and how she ended up outside the facility despite needing help walking.
