Indian opener KL Rahul was in pain after being caught by Jayden Seals’ poor catch in the box. Rahul was surprised by the sudden rebound, and the ball hit him just inside the penalty area. The physical therapist rushed to check on the player as he complained of pain.

India finally managed to bowl out the West Indies batsmen for a score of 390 in the second innings after continuing to follow in the first innings when they were bowled out for just 248 runs. This marked their best batting innings to date, with two centuries and two half-centuries coming off their bat for the first time in the series.

The Indian openers came out chasing the target of 121 in the final session of the third day. Entering Yashavi Jaiswal alongside KL Rahul, Jaiswal looked in a hurry to win the match on the fourth day itself.

KL Rahul is in agony after being shocked by a blow to his lower body

Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed early after smashing two early catches in the first over of the innings. The batter fell to Jomel Warrican, leaving control of the Indian innings to his partner KL Rahul.

Jayden Seals came in for the second over of the innings against KL Rahul. Rahul played a brilliant delivery off the pads, and the ball went racing towards the fence towards the back square leg boundary.

On the next ball, the bowler pulled his length back a bit as a little extra load kept the batsman guessing, the ball bounced more than expected and Rahul ended up hitting it straight into the box. The hit was so bad that the batsman fell to the ground and groaned in intense pain.

Sai Sudharsen came to Pat with the number. 3: The injury is not serious enough to warrant his exclusion from the match

Sudharsan showed a glimpse of promising form for the first time since his Test debut in the first innings of this Test against West Indies. The left-handed batsman scored 87 runs and contributed to a stunning 197-run partnership alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal.

However, while fiddling with short front leg, he was badly hit by a traveling ball as Campbell swept Ravindra Jadeja. To everyone’s shock, Sudharsan completed the catch in a bizarre moment but was taken off the field after the hit.

He did not take to the field for India for the remainder of the overs, skipping Day 3 entirely as well as the fielding sessions on Day 4, with Devdutt Padikkal coming in as his replacement. However, Sudharsan came out to bat when the first Indian wicket fell in the form of Yashasvi Jaiswal in the second over of play.

Sudharsan looked faultless in his 30* innings on day four, and the injury did not seem to have had any major impact on the young batsman. India posted 63/1 at Stumps on day four, and only 58 more runs are needed to win the match.
