Chloe Fineman takes center stage as a wide-eyed newcomer who arrives in a small Southern town full of socialites keeping secrets. Amy Poehler, wearing a flowing green dress as one of the “wives,” greeted her with a completely rude, “Well, look what the cat dragged in.”

From here, things got even more ridiculous. The women were shown drinking in kitchens, posing dramatically with guns, and whispering through bright-lipped smiles as phony comments littered the screen, including a hilarious comment from PEOPLE magazine that said: “It’s like ‘Call Me By Your Name’ for women who shop at Bass Pro Shop.”

Aubrey Plaza’s surprise entrance steals the show in a parody of SNL’s “Hunting Wives.”

The “SNL” audience exploded when Plaza suddenly appeared midway through the trailer, strutting in front of the mimosa-and-kill crew wearing sunglasses and a California print. “Hi ladies. I’m new here,” she announced.

When Poehler offered her a drink, Plaza innocently replied, “I’ve never made a mimosa before,” prompting Feynman’s character to seductively interject, “I’ll show you.”

What followed was a deliberately steamy montage of Feynman guiding Plaza through the pouring of champagne, the rest of the wives joining in as their hair flew in slow motion and the music swelled in the background.

Then came the twist. When one woman asked if she had a boyfriend, Plaza responded deadpan: “I don’t have a boyfriend. I have a girlfriend.” Immediately, the other women jumped back, pulled out their weapons, and cut to the trailer’s tagline, “The Hunting Wives Season 2: Don’t watch it on a plane.”
