Details of the proposed contract for Blake Lively’s role as Lily Bloom in It Ends with Us were revealed this week, revealing a lucrative bonus structure tied to major awards and box office performance.

The unsigned draft of the contract, dated May 5, 2023, was filed in the Southern District of New York as part of her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni and showed that she was set to receive $1.75 million in “fixed” compensation and 10% of the film’s gross proceeds, according to dailymail.

The doc noted that she was on track to earn six figures if her performance in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel met a certain standard.

The 38-year-old actress would have received a $100,000 bonus for being nominated for an Oscar for her performance, and a total of $200,000 if she won the coveted Oscar.

Lively’s proposed contract also showed that she was incentivized with a bonus of $75,000 for a Golden Globe nomination and $100,000 for a win, as well as $50,000 for a SAG Award nomination and $75,000 for a win. However, she was not nominated for any awards.

In addition to the awards, Lively is also set to receive major payouts if the film reaches major box office milestones, including a $250,000 bonus if its gross exceeds three times the film’s “direct cost,” plus another bonus when it passes milestones four and five.

The mother of four also has the luxury of choosing the driver who will take her to and from work, and exclusive use of one pop-up trailer in New Jersey.

She literally had nothing to worry about, as she was also offered a $1,500 assistant’s fee and a $1,000-a-week salary for training and meals while filming in the greater New York City and New Jersey area.

Lively was also given the option of flying her four children, her nannies, her assistant, and her security team by private jet for filming days in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, the proposed contract appears to stipulate that Blake Lively should not take her legal battle with Justin Baldoni to court, because it contains a clause requiring the aggrieved parties to bring their concerns before a private arbitrator in Los Angeles rather than in open court.

Lively filed a lawsuit against the film’s director, his colleagues at Wayfarer Studios, publicists, and the crisis public relations team in December 2024.

She alleged that he sexually harassed her during the filming of the film and launched a retaliatory smear campaign against her online.

Baldoni responded to Lively in January of this year with a defamation lawsuit, naming her publicist Leslie Sloan and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in the document.

He accused her of trying to take away creative control over the film from him and claimed that she had distorted it.

However, a judge has since dismissed the defamation and extortion suit, ruling that Blake Lively’s claims were made in privileged court documents.
