Dave ‘White Rhino’ Allen (24-7-2, 19 KOs) faces Arslanbek Mahmudov (20-2, 19 KOs) tonight in a fight that could change the lives of both in a Matchroom-promoted event at the Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, England. A large crowd of 10,000 people is expected to attend tonight.

The 33-year-old British fighter Allen has been given up as a lost cause for years, but his recent fifth-round TKO win over Johnny Fisher on May 17 has given him a chance to turn his career around. His promoters at Matchroom want to line him up with one of their older fighters if he defeats Mahmudov tonight. It’s doubtful that this will happen, but it was a great promotional strategy to generate interest in Allin’s fight tonight.
