They may have had their ups and downs in the apocalypse, but we’re still holding out hope that one day, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) will live happily ever after, even if history suggests otherwise. After the events of “Avengers: Infinity War” and The heartbreaking ending of “WandaVision” Poor Viz has been through a lot, which has understandably sent his beloved reality-destroying other half into a tailspin. Some may think that now is the perfect time for her to find new love and move on from the supership, but Olsen herself is against the idea.

In the Marvel comic books, Viz isn’t the only character romantically linked to the Scarlet Witch. In fact, Wanda also ends up in a relationship with Simon Williams also known as the Wonder Manthe character that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will soon bring to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Olsen is not interested in exploring the on-screen love triangle. Speaking at LA Comic Con (via Comedy movie), the actor behind the MCU’s most powerful being admitted, “I just made a movie about a woman choosing between her dead husband in the afterlife, so I feel okay not doing another movie about two guys who want my love for a minute.”

For those who aren’t familiar, Olsen was referring to director David Frane’s romantic comedy fantasy film “Eternity.” However, while the MCU may never explore a romance between Wonder Man and Wanda Maximoff, that doesn’t mean the former isn’t completely unlucky. In fact, he may find himself in a relationship with another Marvel hero — one that could go higher, further, and faster than any other love relationship in the MCU before it.

Wonder Man and Captain Marvel were also a thing in the comics

Besides being infatuated with Wanda Maximoff, Simon Williams also had a short-lived romance with Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson in the MCU) in the Marvel Comics. In 2007, the two got together when she was still Ms. Marvel and the leader of the Mighty Avengers, a new team created by Iron Man during Civil War. However, things got a little heated when Williams demanded that he not be kept at a safe distance on missions just because he was in a relationship with his team leader.

Although we’ve only seen some promotional stills from the “Wonder Man” TV series so far, there’s no telling what’s in store for Williams in the MCU, including whether he’ll find his way onto Danvers’ radar. the We last saw her at the end of “The Marvels.” Captain Marvel has been spending some time on Earth grieving the apparent loss of Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris). Given the uncertainty surrounding the future of the MCU after “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars,” who knows what interesting encounters and relationships could come to fruition in the future. Maybe Carol will finally enjoy some romance in her life. We can’t help but wonder.

Wonder Man will begin streaming on Disney+ in January 2026.
