What to expect from the Everest Group report

The market capitalization of Everest Group, Ltd. is . (EG) US$15.1 billion, a leading global reinsurance and insurance company offering a broad range of real estate, casualty and specialty products. Headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, the company operates through two primary segments, reinsurance and insurance, serving clients throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.

EG is expected to announce its financial earnings for the third quarter of 2025 after the market closes on Wednesday, October 29. Prior to this event, analysts expect the company to report adjusted earnings of $9.13 per share, down about 37.6% from $14.62 per share in the same quarter last year. The company has beaten Wall Street earnings estimates in two of the last four quarters while missing on two other occasions.

For fiscal 2025, analysts expect the reinsurer to report adjusted EPS of $45.52, up 52.6% from $29.83 in fiscal 2024.

EG shares are down nearly 9.6% over the past 52 weeks, lagging the S&P 500 Index (SPX)’s 16.3% rise and the Select Financial Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLF) 16.5% return over the same period.

On October 9, Everest Group shares fell 2.3% after Wells Fargo & Company (WFC) analyst Elise Greenspan reaffirmed a “Hold” rating on the insurer and maintained a $383 price target.

The consensus analyst view on Everest Group stock is cautiously optimistic, with a “Moderate Buy” rating overall. Of the 18 analysts covering the stock, five recommend a “strong buy,” two recommend a “moderate buy,” nine suggest a “hold,” and two recommend a “strong sell.”

The average analyst price target of $382.88 indicates a premium of 8.8% to current market prices.
