India national cricket team’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak engaged in an animated conversation with young Tamil Nadu batsman Sai Sudharsan after he missed a century in the second Test against the West Indies national cricket team.
The second and final Test match of the series between the India national cricket team and the West Indies national cricket team began on Friday, October 10 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Sai Sudharsen does not reach his deserved century
The 23-year-old Sudharsen was under pressure before the match as he was unable to repay the faith shown by the Gautam Gambhir-led team management.

Sudharsan was mostly unimpressive in the first four Test matches he played for India and was unable to score big scores. In the first Test against West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the batting conditions were good, he could score only 7 runs.
Meanwhile, in the second Test, the conditions were again right for batting, and this time, Sai Sudharsen did not waste the opportunity and struck well. He looked determined to play a big knock and reached the half-century mark off 87 balls.
Sudharsan did not look satisfied with the fifty and slowly approached the three-figure mark. The way the West Indies bowlers were bowling, it looked like the batter would definitely hit a century, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen.
On the third ball of the 69th over, spinner Jomel Warrican bowled a sharp delivery that beat the inside edge of Sai Sudharsen and hit him on the back leg. The field umpire immediately raised his finger after the appeal by the West Indies players.
However, a reluctant Sai Sudharsen requested a review, and tracking of the ball showed that there was no bat and the ball was going to hit the stumps.
A disappointing Sai Sudharsen returned to the hut after scoring 87 runs off 165 balls, with 12 fours, and was seen having an animated conversation with batting coach Sitanshu Kotak on the balcony. In a lengthy conversation, Kotak appeared to be seen highlighting the mistake committed by the Tamil Nadu pacer that led to his dismissal.

Speaking to the broadcasters after the end of today’s match, Sai Sudharsen said that he expressed himself in the middle and played freely without being subjected to any kind of pressure. He said:
“It was a good contribution, a good partnership between me and Jaiswal. Hopefully we can have longer partnerships and get a big result. Of course, I wasn’t thinking about running, so I was a little freer, expressed myself, took my time rather than rushing into things.”
“I’m not trying to achieve things. Grateful for everything I’ve done, but there’s always something in my mind to achieve more. Happy to be running, but I want to achieve more. It’s fun to watch him batting from the other end, and he’s turning good balls into boundary balls, which is very good to see.”
