Liverpool are interested in signing Bayern Munich striker Michael Olise in the coming months, and they will have to pay a large sum of money for him.
according to TransfersLiverpool would be willing to offer more than 100 million euros to sign the French international. The 23-year-old has been impressive for Bayern Munich since joining the club.
Michael Olise instead of Salah?
He scored 43 goals last season. He is without a doubt one of the best players in Germany right now. Liverpool are looking at him as a potential replacement for club legend Mohamed Salah. Al-Masry is showing signs of decline and they will need to replace him.
The France international could be the perfect acquisition. It is a priority target for the Premier League champions, and it remains to be seen whether they are willing to break the bank for it. The report claims that Bayern Munich is asking for around €150 million to allow the player to leave.
Can Liverpool afford Olise?
It will be interesting to see if Liverpool are willing to pay him that amount of money.
They paid a similar amount of money to Alexander Isak recently (UK Transport Registry fee is: 125 million pounds sterling). They decided to pay Florian Wirtz a bonus earlier this summer as well. There is no doubt that Liverpool have the resources to pay a premium for Olise, and they have the intention of spending a significant amount on the right player too.
The 23-year-old would be an exceptional signing for the English club. He knows the Premier League well from his time at Crystal Palace, and could make an immediate impact at Liverpool. The opportunity to return to England could be exciting for the player as well. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will follow through on their interest with a formal proposal in the coming months.
