Clarence Bass has been a role model for me for healthy aging for about 25 years. Recently some photos of Clarence at the age of 87 were published Website Which is exciting because it definitely challenges the stereotype of a frail elderly person.

Like me, Clarence worked to overcome the limitations of aging, despite two hip replacement surgeries. He also has back issues that make dead lifts a bad idea but has just discovered a different way to get similar benefits.

From the pictures it is clear that he is still training with high intensity. Clarence walks and does mobility exercises every day, and does one vigorous workout per week, and one vigorous cardio workout. He also eats a very good diet. This routine is clearly working well for him.
