The Broadway musical “The Lost Boys” is actually happening

If you are Fan of the amazing 1987 film, Lost BoysYou may have heard that A musical version has been worked on For some time. It was a strange idea. What about Lost Boys I shouted “Broadway Musical”? It is certain that this will never happen in reality. But, as the film teaches us, You must “still believe” Because now he is. Cue the sax.

Musical adaptation of Lost Boys It will now officially open at the Palace Theater in New York City on April 26, 2026, with previews beginning March 27, 2026. It comes from producers James Carpinello, Marcus Chait, and Patrick Wilson (Yes, that Patrick Wilson) featuring a story by James Jeremias and Janice Roberta Fisher, a book by David Hornsby and Chris Hoch, music and lyrics by The Rescues, and directed by two-time Tony Award winner Michael Arden (whose last show was the sci-fi thriller Maybe a happy endingrecently won the Tony Award for Best Musical).

So who’s in the cast? This news just broke too.

• Casey Levy is Lucy Emerson, originally played by Dianne Wiest
• LJ Benet is Michael Emerson, originally played by Jason Patric
• Benjamin Bajak (who played young Chuck in Chuck’s life) is Sam Emerson, originally played by Corey Haim
• Ali Louis Borzgoi is David, originally played by Kiefer Sutherland
• Maria Weris Star, originally played by Jimmy Gertz
• Paul Alexander Nolan Max, originally played by Edward Herrmann
• Jennifer Duca and Miguel Gil are Alan and Edgar Fruge, respectively, originally played by Jamison Newlander and Corey Feldman.
• Brian Flores is Marco, originally played by Alex Winter
• Sean Grandillo is Dwayne, originally played by Billy Wirth
• Dean Maupin is Paul, originally played by Brooke McCarter

So they’re basically everyone in the original movie. More casting will be announced later (presumably for roles like Laddie, Grandpa, and… Sexy sax man), but I have to say, I’m incredibly intrigued. How loyal would this be? Would it be too cheesy? It shouldn’t be At least a little cheesy? I know one thing. It might be time to book a trip to Santa Carla. I mean New York.
