It was held this year and overlapped with the IPL due to the ICC Champions Trophy held earlier this year in Pakistan, a PSL official said..

The PSL will be conducted in the same window as IPL 2026

The PSL is likely to be held in the same window as the Indian Premier League in April-May next year, as they plan to bring two more teams in the 11th edition of the PSL.

The reason for this is that the ICC World T20 Cup is scheduled to be held in February-March next year, and given some other scheduled games in the international calendar, it may not once again be possible to hold the PSL in the usual February-March window.

“There is a window available for the Pakistan Board in December and the first half of January, but they have already granted No Objection Certificates to Pakistani players to play in the Big Bash in Australia Some PCB sources said in this period some local activities were also planned.

PSL privileges to solve PCB related issues

“So the discussion now with the franchises is to prepare for the PSL which will be held in April-May, just like this year,” a source said after the PCB planned an ideal window in the T20 franchise tournament in Pakistan.

Sources further revealed that many issues are yet to be resolved between the PSL franchise and PCB; Hence, no official meeting was held to discuss the next edition of the Pakistan Super League.

On the other hand, the next edition of the Indian Premier League will be played from March 15 to May 31; Hence, this time too, there is a strong possibility that the dates will clash with the Pakistan Super League.

Pakistan’s schedule to prepare for the next two World Cups

In preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup, he will be there series of 3 T20 matches between Pakistan and Australia, followed by another 2-match Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

After the conclusion of the T20 World Cup and PSL, there will be a three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Australia.

This series will be played in May, while the red-ball series against Bangladesh will be followed by another 3-match ODI as well as a 3-match T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Pakistan will also play a 3-match ODI as well as a 3-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.
