Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is still $20 per month if you purchase prepaid codes

However, it’s worth noting that the benefits of Ultimate have changed with the higher price tag. While these new features may justify a higher price financially, whether that’s a compelling reason to stay with the subscription is a separate question. This likely won’t be the last time Microsoft raises the price of its subscription service. Avoiding these fees by purchasing prepaid Game Pass codes seems like an excellent way to try out the new Ultimate before committing to canceling your subscription, downgrading your plan, or committing to Microsoft’s new price.
