Manchester United could be offered the chance to sign Jonathan David from Lille

Manchester United are looking to sign a striker who can become part of the starting lineup.

The Red Devils have struggled in front of goal all season, and the poor form of Rasmus Hoglund and Joshua Zirkzee could force the club to sign a new first choice striker.

Hoglund and Zirkzee have each scored a combined five goals in the Premier League this season.

While the former is still a raw talent and needs time to develop, the latter is struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League.

To address this issue, the Red Devils are looking to sign a new player, preferably this month.

according to GiveMeSporthead coach Ruben Amorim could be offered the chance to sign Lille striker Jonathan David this month.

The Canada international is set to become a free agent in the summer transfer window and that could force the French side to cash in on him in January.

David has scored 11 league goals this season in just 16 appearances, more than all of Manchester United’s strikers.

David scored 19 goals in the league last season, and 24 goals in the season before that, which shows his consistency in front of goal.

Manchester United will face competition from West Ham United for the striker as they look for an attacking addition as well to replace the struggling Niklas Volkrug and injured Michail Antonio.

Some of the biggest clubs in the world will be interested in signing David this year as the striker will be available on a bargain deal.

If Manchester United can sign him, they will get a much better striker than Hoglund and Zirkzee and someone more experienced at the top level.
