According to the United States’ geological survey, a powerful earthquake of 6.6 in Papua New Guinea on Tuesday.
Temblor happened at 9:05 pm New Guinea time, about 16 miles southwest of Lay, Papua New Guinea, data from the agency.
While seismologists review the available data, they may review the amount of the report reported. Additional information collected on the earthquake may also push USGs to update the Shake-Severity Map.
