Trump’s comments came when the Senate failed on Monday evening to pass a draft law sponsoring Republicans to extend government spending until the end of November.

The vote was 52 in favor of, 42 against, eight votes less than the threshold of 60 votes required to pass the bill, according to the Senate voting records.

Democrats carry a minority in the congressional councils, and they are trying to use the draft spending law to force Republicans to negotiate spending on critical health care.
