Saquon Barkley is reportedly expected to play in Week 6 despite the Philadelphia Eagles running back falling on the injury report due to their clash with the New York Giants on Thursday.

The Eagles did not practice Monday amid a short shift from Sunday’s defeat to the Denver Broncosbut published an estimated practice report.

If the Eagles had practiced, Barkley would not have participated due to a knee injury.

But the reigning Offensive Player of the Year is expected to be on display for the Eagles when they visit MetLife Stadium to take on Barkley’s former team.

Ian Rapoport from NFL Media Barkley is dealing with “general soreness,” but has no doubt he’ll be available for the NFC East.

Barkley has 395 yards from scrimmage and four TDs through five games as Philadelphia’s offense has struggled even as they compile a 4-1 record.

He was held to just 30 rushing yards on six carries by Denver, but did score on a 47-yard reception.
