It is in 2025 and I just saw in 1973 The Exorcist for the first time – these are my sincere thoughts

I am huge Cinephile. I spent nearly a decade exploring the most mysterious films that inspired George Lucas and other designs “Starwars.com” pillar behind “Star Wars”. I feel I can talk to their best. Sometimes, I find that I have the most exotic holes in my film show – such as when I realized that I had never seen “The Exorcist”.

Frankly, I couldn’t give you a good reason for not seeing me – unlike many films that are literally impossible to watch, even if you, like me, are trying to watch a new movie at least a day. (Ask my wife or children, and they will tell you that I saw everything.) After viewing – and love – “French relationship” For decades, William Friedkin has long been on the list of managers who took him seriously. However, the classic of 1973 has won me.

yet.

To this point, I only knew the movie about the moments of the prominent virginity (Linda Blair’s head caught around him, which is Max von Seedo screaming about the power of Christ, etc.). Consequently, I did not expect it to be opened in an archaeological pits in the Middle East, where Sido Mirin’s father is looking for something. Maybe his faith? Evidence of God? It is a confusing metaphor. After that, it disappears almost the entire film, which was another surprise. I thought it was the type of actor that you tried to put in each frame of your movie if you have. (Then again, I recently watched “Conan The Barbarian”, and Sydow makes one great look.)

Instead, the film really belongs to Jason Miller’s father and Eline Borsin Chris. Father Kras is a priest who also trained as a psychiatrist, but he loses his faith slowly with the death of his mother. Chris, at the same time, is an actor who harms his daughter Reagan (Blair) herself in terrifying ways that the medical community cannot explain.

Evil lives are a convincing study of faith

Spoilers For “The Exorcist” forward.

“The Exorcist” is a real slow burning, and the horror actually lies in the inability of these characters instead of the devil who owns Reagan. Peristine screams on doctors who cannot know what is wrong with her daughter, but I assure her of what she is He thinks Certainly, it is the most tragic and terrifying side of the movie. How does the rational person run out of options to the point that he will be ready to give up the mind and choose to expel evil spirits? How will the basic belief system be shaken when it works? This is really annoying.

Add to that the priest who believes that evil spirits are ridiculous, have been trained in psychiatry, and admits that he does not believe in a higher force. Then, suddenly, he showed something in practice. Is it still denied this? Is his faith restored? It is not sure. These twin stories, which are chased as they are, form the basis for which the peak is built with antiquities. I don’t think it will work without all this interrogation.

Keep in mind that the end is a whirlwind, and there is no doubt about it. I am sure that the conclusion is what made people continue to return to more, Converting “evil spirits” into a real phenomenon. (The 38 movie is still the top of R. never) But despite its intensity and scene, the thing that surprised me more about the end is his moral mystery and appetite.

After Mirren was killed by the presence of Reagan, a chaos of the handle flies and begins to strangle Reagan’s body, calling for the spirit that you take instead. His eyes become green as he possessed, and jumps from a window to his death. Another priest is there, in an attempt to give him the last rituals. In Catholicism, death by suicide is a deadly sin and a path to hell. But there are layers of complications, given Iman Kras (?) And self -sacrifice for Reagan. Then there is the issue of the evil spirit inside it. Did he finish a book of good mind? Or is the soul trying to kill him because he killed those in charge of the other Reagan title?

A comfortable floors are still common and durable for some reason

Through the circumstances of the death of a booklet, you really ask you, without speaking a single word, to wonder whether this is sufficient to gain acceptance in the sky that is claimed that he and Merrin believe in it. Really, the entire film raises the issue of faith and the state (especially since the actual evil spirits do not seem to work really …).

I ended up watching “The Exorcist” twice so that I can write this. I really had to chew it and found that it was great – and frankly better than I expected it. She kept her permanent strength for more than 50 years for some reason. It has deep layers of the story and imposes complicated questions about faith and existential humanity. It is a truly creeping movie on demonic possession of the boot, with some really wonderful shows. In fact, although he is a young teenager at the time, Blair is absolutely unbelievable and really sells the entire movie. In fact, I was shocked by some of the things I worked on in the name of getting the movie.

If you are going to visit this movie for the first time, do not expect a big priest to escalate, as the priest of the entire film spends an attempt to direct a demon, and he is a ridiculous expectation as I think about it. Instead, you should expect something more mature than the type of horror movies driven by the effects we get these days. It will even make you think about your deaths (and perhaps those from your children), as well as how quickly your mind falls if one of his family begins to act in ways to challenge rational scientific interpretation. You may start thinking about unconventional treatments as well.

Such as calling a talisman.
