The country’s government said that seven young fighters who attacked a severe prison in the Somalia capital were killed.
A large explosion and gunfire coming from Godka Jilicow – a detention center bearing the youth fighters – was heard in Mogadishu on Saturday evening.
In a statement, the youth said that she issued “all Muslim prisoners” from the facility and caused severe losses to those guarding the center.
Sonna Live said on Sunday that the fighters disguise as soldiers to enter the prison.
The government did not refer to the number of its security forces that were killed during the accident, but gave their condolences to the families of the “fallen heroes”.
Likewise, the young man did not give loss of death to her fighters.
The fighting started at about 16:40 local time (13:40 GMT).
Godka Jilicow is located near the Somali Presidential Palace, in the heart of Mogadishu. It is run by the National Agency for Security and Security in Somalia (NISA) and is carrying young fighters and other prominent detainees.
The attack is a major blow to Nisa and is likely to raise questions about how militants can reach one of the most guarded areas in the capital.
Young people belong to al -Qaeda and launch a brutal rebellion against the government in Somalia for nearly 20 years.
Hours before an attack on Saturday, the government reopened the main roads in Mogadishu, which was previously closed for security reasons, noting improvements in the safety of the city.
