Italy was paralyzed while Gaza protests against Meloni

Italy has been severely disrupted due to a general strike at the country’s level called solidarity with the Palestinian people, and the pressure on the response of Prime Minister Georgia Meloni called to the humanitarian crisis that is revealed in Gaza.

Small protests in support of the Palestinians have also occurred in other European cities since the interception of the aid fleet, including Geneva, Paris and cities in Spain.

Danielli Albertzi, a political scientist at Sari University, said that the second general strike of Italy within two weeks reflects the difficult Melonian budget law, because it faces the widespread general anger at the plight of Gaza, while she was trying to stay in conjunction with Trump, a strong supporter of Israel.

This summer, a poll conducted by Youtrend, a leading political poll expert, found that about 63 percent of the Italians believe that Israel is carrying out genocide in Gaza, and that innocent civilians are the main losses in Israel’s attack against Hamas.

Meloni was increasingly isolated in Europe after France, the United Kingdom, Spain and others recognized the Palestinian state. “She can make clear important data – and she has done – but in the end, is pressure on Israel to others? It is not.” Albertzi said.

The Prime Minister said last week that recognition of the Palestinian state “in the absence of a state has sovereignty, does not solve the problem” because it “does not provide concrete and concrete results for the Palestinians.”

However, Meloni said that Rome will take this step if Hamas has handed over all the remaining Israeli hostages, and is excluded from any future government.

The leader of the Democratic Party, Elie Shelin, who joined the protest in Rome on Friday, criticized Meloni’s approach, saying that the Prime Minister used “more harsh words and more harsh attacks against fleet activists more than ever for Netanyahu’s crimes in Gaza and the West Bank.”

But Albertzi said that Meloni was unlikely to change Tak: “You will not want to look at it as a retreat in the face of strikes. Italy remains alongside the United States and waited for the United States to act.”
