The Liberal Democratic Party was elected on Saturday, Sani Takaychi, as a new leader, and put it to become the first prime minister in the country. Takaychi, former Minister of Economic Security, defeated the Minister of Agriculture, Cengero Koizumi, in the surface flow vote, as the party seeks to recover from recent electoral losses and restore general confidence.
