NEW YORK (Reuters) – A New York state appeals court on Thursday rejected Fox’s attempt to dismiss a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit brought by voting machine company Smartmatic over statements made on air after the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
The decision was handed down by a five-judge panel of the Manhattan Appellate Division.
