The decision to remove ice applications from Apple mixed social media reactions

Apple’s decision to comply with the request of the Ministry of Justice to remove applications that monitor migration and customs enforcement sites, such as iCeblock, mixed reactions on social media.

The governors praised the decision as a necessary step to protect law enforcement employees, while continuing collective deportation efforts according to Trump administration.

Iceblock came out in April, where anti -ice protests erupted in all major cities such as Los Angeles Portland throughout the summer.

Apple said in a statement that “they created the application store to be a safe and reliable place to discover the applications.”

The company added: “Based on the information we received from the law application about the safety risks associated with Iceblock, we have removed it and similar applications from the application store.”
