Your guide to what the second period of Trump means to Washington, business and the world
Donald Trump gave Hamas, until Sunday evening, to agree to the 21 points of peace for Gaza, or “all hell, as he has never been unparalleled before, it will erupt.”
“There will be peace in the Middle East in one way or another,” Trump wrote on his social social platform on Friday.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Arab leaders indicated earlier this week that they had agreed to a hypothesis the plan Trump and his advisers revealed last week on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York.
Netanyahu announced his support during a meeting with Trump at the White House on Monday, but he pledged that Israel “will finish the mission alone” in Gaza, if Hamas did not comply with the suggestion. Trump said that Israel will get his full support to do so.
Hamas officials say they held meetings with Qatari and Egyptian intermediaries to discuss the proposal in recent days when they are under pressure from Arab countries to accept the deal.
