Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin was faster than Charles Licertrick from Ferrari in the first practice of the Singapore Grand Singapore, as the fire in Alex Albon caught fire early.

Alonso, who recently admitted in 2026 could be his last season in F1, topped a training session for the first time this year by 0.150s before Leclerc with McLarens of Oscar PiaSSTRI and Lando Norris only in fifth and sixth on a path expected to control it.

Max Versaben ranked third from Luis Hamilton in fourth place, both drivers within four tenths of Alonso, but the first practice in Singapore is not largely since it happened during the day during more hot temperatures compared to qualification on Saturday and the race on Sunday at night.

The world champion twice Alonso benefited from the later later than most of the field, so he had better tracking conditions and may have ran less fuel in the car.

VersApet won the last F1 race to reduce his deficit to the championship captain from 104 points at the beginning of September to 69 points with seven rounds remaining.

Singapore is the only circle in the F1 calendar that the Dutchman has not won and Red Paul shook hands in general in the Marina Bay Street circuit in recent years as well.

If it is competitive this weekend, you will point out that the extraordinary return of Verstapen on the cards but the second practice later on Friday will provide a better reading of the arrangement of the attackers.

Max Versaben says that there is a big gap between him and McClans in the driver championship and that he is not really thinking about the title

Isack Hadjar admired the seventh place after the path was not previously led with Carlos Sainz on the eighth. However, Alex Albon did not complete his Williams teammate in the bosom of the flying due to the brake issue that caused a long fire.

“Williams says it was a problem with devices on the back brakes. They had this with Carlos Science in Austria, which means that he could not start the race,” said Ted Cravitz of Sky SPORTS F1.

“They do not think it was a brake failure, which did not allow Axel to slow down by the ERS system and this led to a high temperature.

“Williams are confident that he can fix the problem and take it out for FP2. Not much was lost in terms of the relevant path conditions, but much in terms of expressing your eyes in the circle.”
