A huge fire broke out on Thursday evening in a Chevron California’s jet fuel production unit, one of the largest refineries on the West Coast, after reports of an explosion.

No injuries were reported from the accident that occurred at the El Segundo factory.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.

“All the refinery employees and contractors have been calculated and there are no injuries,” Chevron said in a statement.

The company added: “The evacuation orders for the residents of the region have not been put in place by the emergency response agencies that monitor the accident, and no abuses have been discovered by the fence line monitoring system.”
