The Windows 11 2025 update starts from Microsoft today (but don’t expect anything new)

What is the benefit of updating if it does not already add anything new? This is the question that I asked about the Microsoft 1125 2025 update (also known as Windows 11 25H2), which the company will start pressing today. Instead of adding any major new possibilities, Microsoft says it is a “empowerment package” that includes the modern features that were added to the 24h2 version last year. If there is anything, this may be a boost for patients who ignored modern updates to reach its board with the new Windows 11 capabilities.

Microsoft says the Windows 11 update 2025 “also includes significant progress in discovering the ability to build and time, as well as secure coding with the help of artificial intelligence.” In addition, the new update should be smaller than before, thanks to the removal of the PowerShell 2.0 and Windows Management Instrument (WMIC). These are the old features that most users have not touched, but their removal may disturb energy users, in their origins, with old text programs using PowerShell 2.0.

As usual, Microsoft says it will start offering the Windows 11 2025 update to the waves. The first batch includes users who have the 24H2 device who have been running “get the latest updates as soon as they are available” in Windows Update. Now that Microsoft has moved to a frequent update rhythm, you can expect to see the actual new features to reach Windows 11 25H2 in the coming months.
