The Donald Trump administration plans to announce a direct program for consumers that allows people to buy medicines at a reduced price of negotiation by the government, according to persons familiar with the matter.
As part of the advertisement, Vizar The program, called Trumprx, will participate, and agree to reduce prices on some medications, making it the first large pharmaceutical company to cut a deal with the White House to reduce US medicine costs.
The deal is a great victory for the Trump administration over drug pricing. Since May, Trump pressed the world pharmaceutical Companies to reduce US prices. Pfizer was one of 17 groups that received a letter from its administration in search of binding agreements to reduce prices. The deadline for responding to the message was September 29.
