“We do not want to be a monopoly at all”: It takes Arthtai in SRIDHAR VEMBU WhatsApp with Upi Playbook

Zoho SRIDHAR VEMBU founded the glove on closed correspondence giants such as WhatsApp, called for open and inter -operating platforms – and put his rising company application, ARATTAI, as the alternative needs of India.

In a publication on X, Vembu said that Arataii in early talks with Sharad Sharma from ISPIRT – the architect behind the backbone of technology in UPI – to spread and unify the messaging protocols in the application. “These systems should be operating like UPI and e -mail and not closed like WhatsApp today,” VEMBU books, adding, “We don’t want to be a monopoly at all.”

The Vembu Sharma described as a “good friend” and pledged to Zoho closely with ISPIRT to align the ARATTAI structure with Open, digital infrastructure in India. He added: “I am a great fan of UPI and I greatly respect the work that the team did.”

The comments come at a time when Arthtai faces a sudden and amazing rise in adoption-from 3000 daily records to 350,000 in only three days-from government approvals, viral support on social media, and the stadium of its strong privacy. Indian users are already called “WhatsApp Killer”, and they promote the application’s promise to be free of spyware and commitment to digital sovereignty.

ARATTAI – which was originally launched quietly in 2021, was now attracted to “informal chat” – national attention. It provides encrypted messages, file sharing, audio and video calls, and even Android TV integration. But its real discrimination is Zoho’s general position on privacy: there is no data liquefy, no background.

In an area dominated by the closed Meta system, VEMBU’s call to open UPI-style can redefine the future of messages in India. “We are committed to this goal and we will work with ISPIRT to achieve this,” he said.
