The Nat Skaver Captain Captain is comfortable alongside her in the Women’s World Cup as “strangers” because they are looking to rebuild their reputation as competitors on the cup.
Sciver-BRUNT is only one of the four survivors of the team that has become the world champions in Lord’s in 2017 and has witnessed a series of disappointments in the championship in recent years.
Since the end of the finalists in defending the title in 2022, they struggled to make their mark on the world stage, and exit the T20 World Cup in the semi -finals and the group stage in the last two editions.
But as Charlotte Edwards, Sciver-Grount coach and the main coach in the first six months continued, there was some kind reset.
The warm-up of the ruling Australian and hosting champions in India did not see England jumping on the couple in the account of the betting makers, but Science-Grount is happy to fly under the radar.
“We will never go as preferences, as this is India and Australia, but we do not hope that this name will be liberated,” she said.
“I think that we will expect strangers to motivate us, but internally, we have some expectations to put something we are proud of and compete against the best difference.
“With regard to the past few global championships, we have been disappointed by the lack of results that we wanted because we set the standards as the England side. But we have a new coach and a new captain, we hope that this is a new beginning in terms of lack of housing in the previous championships.
“We will be happy if we get the best cricket game there, because if we do it as one team, we can compete with anyone there.”
England begins its campaign against South Africa in Jawa’i on Friday, an important opportunity to put the right tone, but not from the major curtains or breakfast in light of the circular structure.
Hayather Knight, Tammi Bouont, Danny White Hodge raised the cup alongside the Skaver band eight years ago and they will remember that they started their way to glory with a defeat of India in the opening match.
“It looks like a long time ago, but I think this is where our experience will be very useful,” said Skaver Brunt.
“We lost our first match in 2017, and we came as a complete circle to overcome the same team in the final. We can share this knowledge with the group. In these tournaments it is not about how to start, it’s the way it ends, and if you peak it in time.”
England
The best result: Winners (1973, 1993, 2009, 2017)
2022 The result: Second place (lost to Australia in the final)
England Band: Nat Skaver Brunst (Captain), Em Arlot, Tami Boumont, Lauren Bell, Alice Kabsi, Charlie Dean, Sofia Dinkley, Sophie Akson, Lauren Filler, Sarah Glenn, Amy Jones, Heather Knight, Emma Lamb, Lenci Smith, Danny White Hordge.
There is nothing less than reaching the semi -finals is the expectation of Edwards side, even if it is unclear what is the best balance will be in the conditions of the continent.
England went to India and Sri Lanka with a group of spinning instead of a stronger balance of retirees, a decision that witnessed Kate Cross deleted from 15.
This may mean that Captain Skif-Brund plays a greater role with the ball, as well as leading and hitting it. Its return to the bowling should allow competitively for more spin options to play.
With this in mind, the slow -left arm SMITH can supply a vital option that supports any Bowler Odi Sophie Ecclestone uninterrupted and one of Charlie Dean or Sarah Galin.
