Google owned by a company to pay $ 24.5 million for Trump to suspend the account after the January 6 attack on Capitol
YouTube from Google agreed to pay 24.5 million US dollars to settle a lawsuit by US President Donald Trump on the suspension of his 2021 account after the attack on January 6, 2021 on the Capitol.
According to the documents submitted in the California Federal Court, $ 22 million in the settlement fund will be contributed to the National Commercial Center to help pay the price of building the state hall in the White House. The rest will go to the other prosecutors, including the conservative American Union.
Google is the latest large technical company to settle the lawsuits filed by Trump. In January, Meta agreed to pay $ 25 million to settle a lawsuit for his 2021 comment from Facebook. Elon Musk’s X agreed to settle a similar lawsuit filed against the company known as Twitter for $ 10 million.
The settlement does not constitute the acceptance of responsibility, the file says. Google confirmed the settlement but refused to comment behind it.
The disclosure of the settlement came a week before a court hearing on October 6 to discuss the case with the American boycott judge, iPhone Gonzalez Rogers, Auckland, California.
