US President Donald Trump won the support of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday for the Gaza proposal, the United States’ peace sponsored to end a war for nearly two years in the Palestinian enclave, but the questions on the horizon about whether Hamas will accept the plan.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Netanyahu, Trump said they were “closer” of settling a far -reaching peace deal, but he warned the Islamic Group that Israel would get full support for the United States to take any action that was necessary if the militants refuse what he provided.
The White House has issued a 20 -point Trump plan calling for a ceasefire, swap of hostages that Hamas maintains for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, and an Israeli withdrawal separately from the Palestinian pocket, Hamas and a transitional government led by an international corpse.
Trump thanked Netanyahu for agreeing to the plan, “and to be confident that if we work together, we can put an end to the death and destruction that we have seen for many years, decades and even centuries, and start a new chapter of security, peace and prosperity on the entire region.”

However, it was clear that Hamas remained the key to whether Trump’s peace proposals were based on the ground, and the group’s absence from negotiations has so far sparked serious questions about the feasibility of the plan.
On Netanyahu’s fourth visit since Trump returned to his post in January, the right -wing Israeli leader was looking to strengthen the most important relationship in his country after a large number of Western leaders who embraced the Palestinian state last week in the modernization of the United States and Israel.
Trump, who sharply criticized recognition movements as a Hamas prize, went at a meeting on Monday in search of Netanyahu’s agreement despite Israel’s concerns about parts of the plan.

Netanyahu, while Trump, appears to be a friend of Israel, puts a distance between him and some elements in the peace plan in Trump, including the required reforms from the internationally recognized Palestinian Authority.
It was not immediately clear whether the Trump administration and Israel had resolved all their differences.
The White House meeting came at a time when Israeli tanks went on Monday to the heart of Gaza City, where Israel launched one of its biggest attacks in the war this month, as Netanyahu says it aims to wipe Hamas in the final pesticides. The war left a lot of Gaza in the rubble and caused a major humanitarian crisis.
