The Ministry of Labor is preparing for the news of obfuscation and data if the United States government is suspended.

In the emergency plan issued on Friday, the administration said it is looking to “make sure that the DOL agencies can conduct an organized suspension of programs and operations in the event of expiry, while continuing these limited activities authorized to continue during a period.”

While the section covers many areas, the effect on data versions will press for investors. DOL, in conjunction with the work statistics office, has many next major reports that will provide important evidence about the direction of the economy and inform federal policy makers before their next meeting in October.

“BLS will suspend all operations,” the 73 -page plan mentioned. “The economic data that is scheduled to be released will not be issued during the break.”

Among the upcoming important reports that can be affected: Friday, BLS will issue a report of non -agricultural monthly salaries at a time when job growth was weakening significantly. The administration also launches the report of the unemployed demands every Thursday.

After that, on October 15, the consumer price index and the main inflation index will be launched, and in fact the last reading that the Federal Reserve will get before it will be held 28-29 October.

In addition to not issuing reports, the administration noted that “all active data collection activities of BLS will stop”, indicating that other reports can be delayed if the operation continues to be stopped.

The statement said: “BLS will not be updated with a new content or restore it in the event of a technical failure during the expiry period.”

In all, BLS issues about ten economic reports every month, which also involve import, export, wages and other activities related to consumers and workers.
