Bournemouth already has one Chelsea player at the club on loan in Kepa Arrizabalaga, so any move for Vega would have to be a permanent move, rather than a loan move.
Chelsea signed Vega only around six months ago and are said to be ready to let him leave the club.
They are looking for other transfer targets in the market and in order to make room for new signings, they are prepared to let some of their players leave the club.
