Pep Guardiola’s side need a mid-season boost to help them get through a disappointing second half of the season, and landing both Abdulkader Khosanov and Omar Marmoush would certainly go some way to achieving that.
Sources have told CaughtOffside that both players are in advanced talks with the reigning Premier League champions, and that Guardiola believes the 19-year-old Uzbek can become an important defender in the future.

Khosanov and Marmoush are more than just condolence signatures
If they land Khosanov and Marmoush as well, it will be more than a consolation.
Sources also indicated that talks with the latter, who wants to move from Eintracht Frankfurt, are well advanced and are likely to end soon.
This will disappoint Aston Villa, Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool who were all attracted by the possibility of El Masry landing.
His performances in the Bundesliga this season have caused Europe’s biggest clubs to watch and take notice, which is ostensibly why he has not responded in a positive or timely manner to Eintracht’s offer of a contract extension.
