John McGin’s early goal was sufficient for Aston Villa to get his first victory in the season as they beat Bologna 1-0 in Villa Park.
It was an embarrassing beginning of the season for the UNai Emery team, and although it started its campaign in the European League with three points, it was not without difficulties. Olkins came out of the bench and the second half penalty was rescued.
Santiago Castro struck the crossbar of Italian visitors shortly after a period of time and Marco Bezot was forced to keep Martin Vitick late, but a villa stuck to a highly required victory – although he would not do much to dispel the increasing number of skeptics.
Watsenz and Rogers are still fighting
It is now without a goal in eight games for the club and the country this season, and his attempt was not a penalty of confident player. Emery was hoping that this was a game to build his attackers. Even in victory, their shape is still a concern.
But even his struggles were less clear than Morgan Rogers struggles. It seems out of species, unable to reproduce the model he saw as an Engel’s star against Serbia earlier this month, and he was paradoxically at late to keep it simply.
Rogers started every Premier League match this season with Emery, clearly keen to support his leg in the hope that he would be able to play from this slit. However, it seems that it makes things more difficult for the player with much better performance.
Emery: Rogers must accept criticism
Aston Villa boss UNai Emery Speaking at the press conference:
“Fans should show feelings, we have to accept them, sometimes they help us and sometimes not. We must be there, and always ready to accept them.
“Morgan is a young man and must accept him. Today, I kept him on the field for 90 minutes because I wanted to react to it, and how he was accepting everything and doing it.
“He didn’t play well, and he was not a clinical in a third -third -trick to do the last help, but I wanted to keep it (on) because first, he always performed his tasks, and always works on the team.
“But today it was not an aggressive clinical. He needs experience not to play well, and sometimes the crowd is not happy with him. He has to accept these experiences and grow through them.”
McGinn: Watskins has nothing to prove
Aston Villa captain John McGin Talk to TNT SPORTS:
“He is a first -class striker. He is not in England for nothing.
“Over the years it has shown how good. If he did not register, this is good.
“We do not need to exercise any pressure on it and add any external noise.
“It was great for us and has nothing to prove to us.”
Konsa: The crowd can be difficult here
Aston Villa Defender Consa Talk to TNT SPORTS:
“My first season here we have passed something similar, their fight against landing. The crowd can be difficult here. When things do not go well, it is important that the fans remain with us but you can sometimes see that they feel somewhat frustrated, especially with some of our players but we have to be able to deal with that.
“I must try to prevent him. I try to keep positively as possible.
“I think today is a good starting point, our victory we really need to give us confidence in the Sunday game. We have important players to return. Now we are not scoring much of the things you feel a little.”
