ATlassian giant for productive programs performs the largest acquisition to add a productive tool for the developer to its product group.

Atlasian announced on Thursday that she had agreed to obtain a developer’s production vision platform DX For one billion dollars in cash and restricted shares. DX institutions are used to analyze the productivity of their engineering teams and determine the bottlenecks that slow them.

DX was launched five years ago by ABI Noda and Greyson Junggren. Noda said Techcrunch in 2022 It established the company to find a better way to understand what the engineering teams are hindered. At that time, he felt the standards he used as a director of products in Github did not give him the full picture, and he wanted to build something better that did not make developers feel they were wiped.

“The assumptions that we had about what we needed to help ship products are completely different from what the teams and developers were saying on their way,” Nadoca told Techcrunch at the time. “Even the difference did not always have awareness of their issues and leadership.”

DX came out of hiding in 2022 and since then its customer base has multiplied every year. The company is now working with more than 350 of the institution’s client, including ADP, Adyen and GitHub, among others, with less than $ 5 million in project financing.

The co-founder and CEO of Atlassian Mike Cannon-Grokes told Techcrunch that after trying to build a vision tool for a three-year product, Sydney, based in Australia, realized that it is logical to search for an external external option.

The Cannon-Bruooks said that DX was a natural choice, bearing in mind that 90 % of DX customers were already using project management and cooperative in Atlassian as well.

Canon Brooks said: “DX has done a great work (from) the understanding of the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the productivity of developers and converting this into measures that can improve those companies and give them visions and comparisons to others in their industry, others of their size, etc.”

He added that the timing was true due to the rise of artificial intelligence tools and companies looking for ways to measure how to use them.

“You suddenly have these budgets that rise. Is this a good thing?” The gun said. “Isn’t this a good thing? Did he spend money in the right ways? It is really important and embarrassed.”

He added that there was a major cultural episode as well. Cannon-Bruooks said that he has always felt the convergence of entrepreneurs in Utah-headquarters in Salt Lake City-and I like both companies being able to expand without taking a lot of external financing.

The feeling was mutual.

I told Noda Techcrunch this week that it is believed that DX and Atlassian are better than each other and that many Atlassian tools supplement the data and information collected by the DX platform.

“We are able to provide customers with these full episodes to get data and understand our unhealthy place,” Noda said. “They can connect Atlassian tools and solutions to go to treat those bottlenecks. The comprehensive budget wheel is in the end what customers want.”

The DX platform will be integrated into the wider Atlassian product.

This is the second acquisition of Talmasian this month. The company announced that it was buying the AI-OPROWSER developer Browser Company In early September.
