The wife of the late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny said he was killed by poisoning while spending a prison sentence in the Arctic Antarctic in 2024.

In a joint video on social media, Yulia Navalnaya said that the analysis of the smuggled biological samples conducted by laboratories in two countries showed that her husband was “killed”.

There were no details of the alleged poison, samples or analysis – but they were stabbed in the two laboratories to publish their results.

Navalny died – an anti -corruption activist and an opposition leader in the most noisy Russia – suddenly in prison on February 16, 2024 at the age of 47.

In 2020, the nerve factor was poisoned in Novchuk. He underwent treatment in Germany, and was arrested at the airport upon his return to Russia.

At the time of his death, he was in prison for a period of three years on suspended charge and was recently transferred to a criminal colony in the circle in the Arctic.

The supporters of Navalny and his colleagues at the Anti -Corruption Foundation (FBK) have always maintained that the Russian government is involved in its demise.

Navalnaya said that after the death of her husband in February 2024, his team managed to “obtain biological samples and transfer them safely abroad and that two laboratories in different countries concluded that he had been poisoned.

She did not participate in the laboratory site – but implicitly that she had not publicly published its results because of “political considerations”.

“They don’t want an uncomfortable fact in the wrong time,” she said.

Navalnaya has also suggested that she will get a retreat from an attempt to investigate the death of her husband more: “You are the wife, of course, but there is no criminal case, there are no legal reasons for delivering documents for you.”

“But I have reasons. Not legal, but moral reasons.”

She added that Navalny was her husband and friend and the closest person – and “a symbol of hope for a better future for our country.”

“I know it was a symbol of you too,” she said on pictures of Moscow.

“I will not be silent. I confirm that Vladimir Putin is guilty of killing my husband, Alexei Navalny … I urge the laboratories that have studies to make the results public.”

On Wednesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he was not aware of Navalia’s statements.

In the video, Navalnaya detailed her husband’s last days based on what she said was a certificate of employees in the sanctions colony, which BBC was unable to verify.

According to her, on the day he died, Navalny was taken out for the picnic but felt the disease. When he was returned to his cell, “he lay on the floor, pulled his knees, and started groaning from the pain … Then he started vomiting.”

She said, “Alexei was suffering from cramps … Watch the prison guards (his suffering) through the bars of the cell window,” noting the alleged testimonies.

His widow said, an ambulance was not called even 40 minutes after Navalney’s illness, and he died shortly after. The prison authorities told his mother Lyodella that her son had suffered from “sudden death syndrome.” Later, state investigators said the death was caused by a medical and Ericcist.

Navalny partners have shared invisible photos in the past on social media claiming to show his cell on the day he died and the small exercise square was allowed to leave.

Vladimir Putin, who seriously avoided navalny while he was alive, He briefly referred to him a month after his death By saying that the person was “a always sad event”.

The Russian president also said that he agreed to exchange a planned prisoner between Navalny and “some people” in Western prisons, and on the condition that Navalny did not return to Russia.

“But this is life. There is nothing to do about it,” Putin said.

Moscow is unlikely to make any other comment on the death of Navalny.

Its popularity and the Internet decreased the Kremlin have long been shook, while the higher figures have been angry at his investigations into prominent government corruption.

With the death of Navalney, Russia lost the last tall opposition figure who challenged Putin’s rule.

Many of his partners were imprisoned or fled from Russia. Navalnaya faces itself arrest, and she and her two children live abroad.

The campaign on civil society increased more after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, and new punitive laws leading to mass detention that have fallen into any opposition.

In both life and death, Navalny managed to extract huge crowds in the streets. Thousands of mourners have shifted from his funeral In Moscow in March 2024, despite the well -established fears of the police campaign.

No major opposition gatherings have occurred in Russia since then.
