Everything NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced in his keynote at CES 2025

NVIDIA held its contract CES 2025 keynote Last night with CEO Jensen Huang and it was surprisingly eventful. The company has finally unveiled its long-awaited GeForce RTX 5000 GPUs that promise a significant performance improvement. The company did not stop there, as it also announced Project Digits, a super-intelligent personal computer, along with DLSS 4 and more. NVIDIA RTX 5000 series GPUs

Huang stepped out wearing a new snakeskin-like leather jacket and revealed what was long-awaited RTX 5090 GPU. With 32GB of GDDR7 RAM and 21,760 CUDA cores, the new flagship can deliver up to twice the relative performance, especially for ray tracing (RT) intensive games like Cyberpunk 2077. In fact, this particular title ran at 234 fps with full RT in a video demo, compared to 109 fps on the RTX 4090. It’s not cheap, though. Its price is $1,999.

The company also unveiled a $549 RTX 5070 with a more modest 6,144 CUDA cores and 12GB of DDR7 RAM, alongside the $749 RTX 5070 Ti and $999 RTX 5080.

DLSS4

The main part of the launch of the RTX 5000 series was Introduction to DLSS 4the latest version of the company’s real-time image upscaling technology. It features a new technology called Multi Frame Generation which allows new GPUs to create up to three additional frames for every single frame the GPU produces over traditional rendering – helping to multiply frame rates by up to eight times. It also represents what NVIDIA calls “the biggest upgrade to its AI models” since DLSS 2, improving things like temporal stability and detail, while reducing artifacts like ghosting.

Project numbers

Finally, NVIDIA was launched Project numbersa “personal AI supercomputer” designed for researchers, data scientists, and students in the field of artificial intelligence. It uses NVIDIA’s new GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip, providing up to a petaflop of performance for testing and running AI models. The company says a single Project Digits unit can run 200 billion parameter models, or multiple devices can be linked together to run up to 405 billion parameter models. For its target audience, Project Digits is relatively cheap at $3,000.
