Snap is upgrading the program that runs the enhanced reality glasses, as it is preparing for the first time From the “specifications” next year. The latest update of Snap OS is an improved web browser, as well as the ability to browse Spotlight videos in AR.

The company has long said that one of For AR glasses is to enable people to spend less time staring at their phones. Snap did not complete it completely, but Snap OS started getting more features that could help the company reach there.

The company redesigned the browser in Snap OS to facilitate the switch between sites and change the size of the windows to different transverse proportions. It is also faster and more effective in energy, with the ability to watch about 40 minutes of continuous video playing. (The current version of the glasses is at the forefront of about 45 minutes of the battery life. There is also a new gallery lens that allows you to preview the photos you took with the glasses camera on the glasses and swap them quickly with hand gestures.

The update one year after the company’s first shows the AR AR of a somewhat lofty look. Since then, hundreds of developers have tried the device and created their AR lenses for the platform. But these experiments have so far been very limited because the company only allowed its AR glasses to the developers who wish. This is scheduled to change at some point in 2026, when Snap says she will start selling a smaller, lighter and more capable husband than glasses.

The company has not yet separated details of the designed model worker or what “specifications” will get. But the new version of Snap OS shows that the company is trying to make the AR platform more useful.
