How did social media react to Nikki Glaser canceling a Luigi Mangione joke?

On social media, fans questioned why Glaser thought it was insensitive to include the joke about Mangione while keeping the joke about Diddy, who is currently on trial for sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering.
Two users commented: “This was a bit too much, but Diddy was fair game?” and “I cut this and not Diddy’s terrible joke?”
Some other netizens mentioned that Glaser should have replaced Mangione’s joke with Diddy’s.
One said: “She should have kept that joke and deleted the Diddy joke,” while another said: “Much better than the Diddy joke, she should have kept this joke instead.”
Another user assumed that keeping the joke was an intentional act involving people other than Glaser.

Diddy’s accuser’s lawyer says the comedian is “making light” of sexual assault that harms victims

Previously, Glaser was criticized by a lawyer representing an alleged victim of Diddy, who filed a civil suit against the embattled rapper last year.
according to TMZ, RAttorney Ariel Mitchell stated that she was puzzled why Glaser would make such a joke, considering she is a woman who could also be a victim of sexual assault.
She noted that such jokes damage the confidence of women who should feel empowered to come forward about their abuse.
“Minimizing this ugly situation is exactly why so many sexual assault victims do not come forward and report their assaults,” said the attorney representing Ashley Parham, a woman who accuses Didi of violently gang-raping her.
Another victim’s lawyer said he hoped she could make a joke without minimizing the “rape.”

Tyrone Blackburn, another attorney who represents several of Diddy’s accusers, expressed disappointment in Glaser.
Blackburn told the media that he expected the comedian to be able to “find humor that doesn’t trivialize drugging and rape.”
He represents attorney Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who claimed Diddy forcibly touched him while they were working on his 2023 album.
Since his arrest on September 16 last year, Diddy has been hit with a wave of sexual assault lawsuits from multiple individuals. However, the rapper denied all these accusations.

“Zendaya here — Zendaya, you were amazing in Dionne. Oh my God, you woke up for everyone. And the Challengers, girl? Oh my God, that was so good,” Glaser began.
“This movie was more sexually charged than Diddy’s credit card,” Glaser continued. “I’m sorry, I’m upset too. The after party’s not going to be as good this year. But we have to move on.” Stanley “The ‘obsessed’ Tucci doesn’t have the same ring to it — there’s no Oil for the kids this year, just a lot of olive oil.
