Kinshasa, Congo On Friday, the authorities and government media reported that two separate accidents of boats this week in the northwest of the Congo killed at least 193 people and left missing degrees, according to government authorities and media on Friday.

The incidents occurred on Wednesday and Thursday, about 150 km away in Equateur.

The Congo Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs said in a report that one of the boats containing nearly 500 passengers caught fire and moved on Thursday evening along the Congo River in the Lukulla region in the province. The report said that 209 survivors had been rescued after the accident, including the boat whale near the village of Malang in the Lukulla region.

One day ago, a boat equipped with engines in the Bacanocoso province in the province overturned at least 86 people, most of them students, government media reported. Many people were missing, but the reports did not give a personality.

The cause of the accident was not immediately evident or whether the rescue operations were continuing on Friday evening.

The government media attributed an accident on Wednesday to “the improper load and the night navigation”, noting reports from the scene. The pictures that appeared from the scene showed that the villagers gathered around the bodies sad.

The local civil society group blamed on Wednesday’s accident on the government and claimed that the losses were higher. The authorities cannot be reached immediately for comment.

The boat coup has become increasingly frequent in this nation in Central Africa, where more people abandon the few available ways to the cheaper and wooden vessels that collapse under the weight and goods of passengers.

On such trips, salvation jackets are rare and vessels are usually loaded.

Many boats are also transmitted at night, making rescue efforts during accidents and leaving many bodies often not calculated.
