Globallogic and FlexWare publishes the upload program at the Hitachi Maryland facility

Globallogic and Flexware Innovation, both of them, have announced the deployment of the Lift Ineogists program from FlexWare at the new Hitachi Rail manufacturing facility in Hajrestown, Maryland, the United States.

The new technology aims to enhance the movement of materials and address the challenges of synchronization in the manufacturing process in the facility, which was opened earlier this month.

Lift 3.0, the first independent product fully developed from Flexware, was initially presented in May and is designed to facilitate smooth integration through complex manufacturing environments.

This publishing comes at a time when manufacturing in the United States is subjected to a transformation, with an increasing focus on robots and AI to meet re -preparation requirements.

However, many of these techniques are struggling to communicate with each other, which leads to problems of interim operation and lack of efficiency.

Lift 3.0 aims to solve these challenges, especially at the very digital Hitachi Rail factory, which has seen investing more than $ 30 million in digital improvements.

At the HAGERSTOWN facility, Lift regulates the movement of materials from the warehouse to different work cells using automatic guided vehicles (AGVS).

The program is integrated with the Hitachi Rail warehouse system and the AGV fleet management system, allowing it to manage material requests, transmission and report missions on case updates.

Lift also monitors system activity and deals with any exceptions that arise during operations.

It is an unlimited regular platform linking many technologies across the factory bottom, including PLC, SCADA, ERP and MES systems.

The platform supports the digital transformation of manufacturing and storage organizations, with the aim of breaking silos and improving safety.

In relevant development, Globallogic has made a partnership with Ericsson to publish 5G network, especially in the HAGERSTOWN facility.

This network provides the digital infrastructure needed for advanced automation and workers’ safety.

The 5G network provides capabilities such as data capture in the actual physical organization, digital twin for improving production, predictive maintenance, automatic quality inspections, and IOT material transport.
