Daniel Fark admits one in Leeds, “Dancing on the Table”, with pleasure in how the transfer window ends.
Leeds were hoping to sign another striker, but Harry Wilson’s move from Fulham fell at the last minute, leaving the West Yorkshire team less than options in the last third.
The newly promoted club did not prevent Take four points from the first three games Fark insists, while disappointed, will not spoil the hand.
Speaking before the weekend to face Wilson and Fulham in Kravin Koch, the German said: “I am already focusing on the next game, but it is fair to say that we do not dance on the table.
“I have principles with the way I work. One of them, I love openness and transparency and its name how I see it and speak in general what is necessary to do it as a club. We have a large base of fans – I don’t want to move around some slopes.
“The second principle is that once the window is closed, you will not hear a bad comment from me. I am lucky to work in this work and my work is to adapt to reality. I don’t need to feel sorry for myself.”
Another Vark says we want another attacker
However, Fark admitted that it was always a plan to sign another front player before the window was closed on September 1.
He added: “I do not want to say different things for what I said before. I will not go out and say that it was never the plan to sign offensive players. I will never do so because I do not like to talk about nonsense. Once you are finished, I adapt to reality. You will not hear a single word from me. I am there for the players.
“There is no point for me to feel sorry and regret for myself. Maybe we wanted a different day on the deadline or a different transport window, but we are now focusing on trying to get the largest possible number of Premier League points.
“I am completely focused on Fulham. We need to win the right to stay awake.”
LEDS hit injuries
As often, after Wilson missed, Leeds suffered from injuries to attacked players with Joel Peru and Lucas Nikisha, fighting to be fit in the match in West London.
“There are some small question marks about Lucas Nisha – he has achieved great success on his foot and lost – also Joel Peru, hit the leg and has a great bruise,” said Fark. “We have to wait for how their bodies interact in the next 24 hours, so there are no little doubts around them.”
Elsewhere was mixed news.
“Lucas Perry is definitely out of the game,” said Fark from the goalkeeper who is likely to be replaced by Karl Darlo. “After the last match, he has informed some problems with his quad. He had an examination and there is a muscle strain. He will definitely miss the following two matches and then we will have more clarity.
“There is some good news. Ethan Imam and Ao Tanaka are combined in major parts of the team’s training. Ethan is a little more. But we also have another 48 hours and we will make a late decision with them. But both are possible, this depends on how they interact in the next 48 hours.”
