Captain England Harry Brook described the first rain -affected T20 against South Africa in Cardiff “Fashion” after his team lost 14 runs on DLS.

Rain in Wales reduced the game to nine sums on the side and the competition finally started at 8.50 pm, after more than two hours from the start time scheduled at 6:30 pm.

“I don’t know all the rules to be honest, but that was a little … I thought that every football player would have had to draw attention,” Brock added.

“But these are the rules we get, and we have to play the best cricket game and perform our best.”

England was withdrawn Jofra Artcher for her side as soon as she became a discounted competition, as his colleague Luke Wood instead plays in Cardiff Fateer and took two texts and hunting.

Ali Artcher, who is scheduled to play a major role in ash this winter, Brock added: “It was stupid to play with the amount of cricket that we reached.

“If he had gone out to the border and did what Adam Hosh did (with serious injuries in his ankle) and break his leg or anything else, it would be a square.”
