This article contains Spoilers For “The Paper” Episode 4.
The “The Paper” may be cross from “The Office”, but it is loose at best, and includes new actors in a new office in a new city. In fact, the biggest links between the new series and its predecessor are behind the scenes, with the previous show “The Office” Greg Daniels, which leads the new series using many writers and directors. But there is one major relationship on the screen between the two shows (exceeding the fact that the documentary itself shoots the employees of Toledo Truth Teller): Oscar Nunez Oscar Martinez. The former Dunder Miflin Accountant is now the same functionality in Toledo, and some episodes have been very designed that he does not want to participate in the new documentary (something that has been shown in The “paper” trailer). But with episode 4, the Oscar of the Arts and Entertainment has been handed over and will actually contribute as a critic to move forward. This is an important moment for the character, who previously revealed his love for the arts, but never got her embrace during the “office” period.
When we saw the last time Oscar in the 2013 conclusion episode of “The Office”, entitled “Finale”, he was running for the state of the state against his ex -girlfriend and former wife of Angela Martin (Angela Kinki) Robert Lipton (Jack Coleman). But he was still working in Dunder Miflin, who has already seen many changes in ownership. When the “paper” begins, we discovered that the company was purchased by ENERVATE unfortunately, which sells paper products. When Dunder Miflin applied Dunder Miflin, she brought Oscar along the ride, indicating that the accountant did not succeed in trying to the state’s Senate (or maybe, but he returned to Dunder Mifflin after his political work). Whatever the situation, Oscar remains a meter at the beginning of the “paper”. But away from just bringing him as a way to lure the original show fans, it seems that the bidder and the co -founder Greg Daniels are planning to give the character a larger and more satisfactory bow than some fans might expect.
Oscar is the new correspondent of the arts and entertainment, and it suits him
In the office, Oscar Martinez was one of the accounting of Dunder Miflin, but his real passion was the arts. He got a reputation for being a little of the total, especially after the fourth season episode “Branch Wars” (one of The best “office” episodes), Where he started the “Club of the More Things”, which included Pam (Gina Fischer), Tobi (Paul Laberstein), and in the end Jim (John Krasinski) – although Jim sabotated his membership by failing to read “Angela Ramad” and enjoy the group. Things Things meet lunch to discuss literature and art, and included a “room” with a view “and” GEISHA notes “for the Arthur Golden in the reading list.
However, for the rest of this series, Oscar was unable to adopt his love for the arts, and remained an accountant until the last episode, as he suggested that he be able to start a political profession. We know that this did not come out (at least in the long run), but it seems that the “paper” will finally give Oscar an opportunity to do what he loves to live. In episode 4, he was asked to review the local high school production of “Mean Boys” and writes a huge review with joy that is seen shortly only in the episode but begins with the title “stop trying to achieve this.”
This attempt to give Oscar a personal arc is an enjoyable addition to a show, let’s face it, will never be The cross that was actually better than the original show. It is not limited to proving that the book actually pays attention to the character instead of using it only as a way to fill the gap between the “office” and “the paper”, this means that we may see some of the development of the character meaning in a show that must also reconcile his big group.
Oscar has always been a little mystery, but this might change
There is no doubt that Oscar Martinez was a loved character in the “office”, but he was also pragmatic that could sometimes be a real decline. He had an atmosphere of surpassing him and he was often cited the facts and numbers as a way to undermine the suggestions of his recognized colleagues. In one in particular The “office” scene is funnyHe heard that he found a poster Angela Martin “creeping and bad taste” and went in a screaming about how “the opposite of art was destroying art, he destroys souls.” As such, he was not always the most enjoyable member of the group, but perhaps he could change his new function in Toledo Truth Teller that.
When the “paper” begins, Oscar is always angry, and he refuses to go to the camera and run from the documentary. But after he was asked to review the play in episode 4, he sits to conduct an interview with the crew (although he shows that he only promotes new art and entertainment). This already indicates that Oscar may finally find some joy if he continues to contribute to the paper in this way, and indicates that it may be more than just a side character with the continued display.
Talk to diverseOscar Nunez described Oscar as “false periods” and who wants to “do his work and find his friend and go to some plays” and “he wants to enjoy his life without being in a documentary.” The “false intellectual” part appears slightly rejecting the former Dunder Miflin accountant, especially given that Nunez also asked a more optimistic question: “Does he just want (Oscar) to make a bak and be sarcastic, or does he want to do anything?” It seems that as the “paper” continues, we will get an answer to this question and perhaps a full arc of Oscar, who has never had an opportunity to overcome the “false intellectual” mark the first time.
